Changing perspective to

Respect.

"We do not realize what we have on Earth
until we leave it."

In order to understand our changing world we need to change perspective.
A perspective of Respect for our Earth and all of it's inhabitants can promote positive change around the world.

We believe that impactful change must come from corporations; we are committed to thinking together about the ways we can promote values of Respect: for Earth, humanity, and ourselves.

"We learned a lot about the Moon, but what we really learned was about the Earth. The fact that just from the distance of the Moon you can put your thumb up and you can hide the Earth behind your thumb. Everything that you've ever known, your loved ones, your business, the problems of the Earth itself—all behind your thumb. And how insignificant we really all are, but then how fortunate we are to have this body and to be able to enjoy loving here amongst the beauty of the Earth itself." —Jim Lovell, Apollo 8 & 13 astronaut

"Every astronaut said the same thing: If every person would gain this perspective, it would change them as people. Can we gain this perspective here on Earth?"

The Overview Effect

Almost 50 years ago we landed on the Moon. We stood together and looked back at our planet. The most profound experience astronauts reported was not standing on the moon, but rather the experience of looking back at planet Earth.

What started with conversations with NASA's Game Changing Development program has now launched into an initiative giving everyone the opportunity to experience the overview effect. We are creating a pop-up installation for New York covered in the blackest synthetic substance known.

Changing Perspective

We want to give you the feeling of standing on the brightness of the lunar surface, but being surrounded by the blackness of space, pitch black, immersing in it's infinity, and then seeing floating planet Earth.

A crowdfunding campaign will be financing the coating to recreate the utter blackness of space, making it to the most immersive experience there is, here in New York City.

Remember Vantablack?

Imagine stepping into a room having no idea how big that space really is. Having no idea where the walls are, simply because you can’t see them, because light does not reflect on them. Just like reality!

A new nano-technology that absorbs 99.9% of light let's us recreate the blackness of space!

We can't create the absence of gravity, but we can create the absence of light in space. Being surrounded by complete darkness where the lost of any reference point lets you believe you are standing on the moon.

A Unique Experience

First of it’s kind, where the brightness of the moon and the darkness of space interact in a way, no one, expect 12 Apollo Astronauts, has seen before, highlighting earth.

The Earth is appearing as a bright blue and green marble in the utter blackness of space.

The moon maintains an elliptical orbit, which causes the Earth to appear, at times, as much as thirteen times larger than the moon appears in our own sky. The recreated lunar terrain provides a seamless visual experience. A projector acting as the sun will brighten the lunar surface as well as the Earth.

In order to understand our changing world we need to change perspective. A profound experience inspiring a new outlook and sense of appreciation, encouraging us to protect our one and only Earth.
